Hi everyone! As part of my Mind in Business class from Productive Learning and Leisure, I had the privilege of interviewing several local Sonoma County small businesses to share with you here! Today I am featuring Cathy Kurt. Cathy specializes in making you look and feel beautiful and healthy from the outside in! Enjoy the interview!
What is the name of your business, and briefly describe what you do.
My business is Cathy Kurt Aesthetics. I offer customized facials, skin peels, full body waxing, custom brow design, lash and brow tinting, and massage.
How or why did you decide to start this business?
I started my business three and a half years ago after working at a day spa for several years. An opportunity presented itself to rent a room and I decided to go for it!
What products or services do you offer?
In addition to the services I listed above, I retail Jan Marini products, and a line of private label products all designed to improve the look and feel of your skin and address many common skin care concerns such as acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, and aging.
How does your business make a difference for your customers or clients?
By improving someone’s skin or designing brows, I strive to make people feel better about themselves.
I am a small, one woman business which allows me to know each and every customer on a personal basis and focus on their needs.
Who are your ideal customers or what is the demographic/target of your business?
I love working with men and women of all ages. As an acne sufferer myself, I have a special passion for working with people with acne. I know how devastating this condition can be and love nothing better than helping others improve their skin.
What is your company’s mission?
A book that inspires me is The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz, which I try to guide myself by:
- Be impeccable with your word.
- Don’t take anything personally.
- Don’t make assumptions.
- Always do your best!
Great words to live by, Cathy! Thank you for sharing your business with us. Ladies and men, is it time to take care of you? You can find out more about Cathy here or at her salon in Santa Rosa.
