If you have a self-hosted WordPress.org website/blog you can now add a thumbs up/like button that integrates with Facebook’s activity feed.
This means that when someone reads a page or post on your WordPress site, they can click the Like button and it will post to their Facebook profile/wall that they like your page/post.
Their friends will then potentially see this activity and perhaps click the link to check it out themselves.
Plus, on your post there will be a count of how many people liked the post, including their names if you are friends with them.
Pretty cool huh? Here’s how to install it using the plugin that I chose.
While you are in your WordPress dashboard, on the left under Appearance click Plugins, then Add New.
In the search box put fbLikeButton so you find the right one.
Then click Install on the right and follow the instructions.
Once it’s installed click Activate.
Then on the left look under settings for FBLikeButton, click that and tweak any of the settings you want to, then click Update Options and voila!

Thanks, Karen. I installed it and it looks great! I wonder why it appears at the top of the post instead of the bottom?
