My daughter, Alia, is a state finalist in the National American Miss pageant in California. What is the name of your business and what do you do? 

Chloe + Isabel Jewelry  I am a Divisional Merchandise Manager with the company.  I lead a team of sales people and also sell the jewelry myself.

How or why did you decide to start your business?

I liked the jewelry and decided to look into the company because I knew it was a start up with so much potential for both growth and generating income.  Once I found out more about the possibilities with Chloe + Isabel I was super excited to invest in my future!

How does your business make a difference for your customers? 

By adding jewelry to your wardrobe, you can take a plain outfit and add a little bling and get a brand new look without having to invest a lot in that look.

What is unique about you or your business when compared to your competitors? 

Oh so much.  One thing that I am very very proud of is that our company has such a dedication to quality.  Our jewelry comes with both a 30 day money back guarantee and a lifetime replacement guarantee.  All the jewelry is designed in house in NYC by our own team of designers.  Quality is so important so our jewelry starts with more expensive base metal (brass and not cheap plastics or other metals), uses a quadruple plating process and wear tests the pieces before they are released to the public.

My ideal customer is anyone who wants to accessorize with a quality product.  My target audience is women with a little more disposable income, not teens who like to shop at places like Claire’s and Forever 21 because they don’t want to spend more than $5 on their accessories.  You get what you pay for.. although our jewelry is fashion jewelry and not meant to last a lifetime, our lifetime guarantee ensures that it will!  I think our jewelry attracts people of all ages but our best customer is usually 30+

What is your company’s mission?

Some may say we are a jewelry brand, others may say we are a lifestyle brand but as our CEO says, we are an opportunity for women, jewelry is simply the vehicle by which we empower the fashion loving entrepreneurs. It says it all in our motto: Be creative, Be confident, Be YOU!

What are you personally passionate about?

I think it’s in my blood to be a mentor.  I hope it’s ok for me to say that I am very proud of the way I have raised my 4 children to be strong & independent adults, teaching them the skills they need yet letting them figure things out themselves along the way.   I have brought that philosophy into my business by being a mentor and friend to my merchandising team.  I taught them to become independent thinkers, able to figure a lot of things out but yet feel comfortable enough to come to me for advice.

Do you have any advice for the teens of today, as they navigate their way to adulthood.

Although at times you may think your parents don’t know very much, remember that they have experienced a lot of the things that you are now going through.  Look to them for advice because if they don’t have the answer, you can be sure they will do everything in their power to make sure to find out the answer.  Get involved.. in school, in activities, in life.  You don’t want to look back at this time of your life and wish.. If only I would have…
