BYOL Parties

Karen Clark’s exclusive Bring Your Own Laptop Parties (BYOL) are a fun and casual way to learn new skills and begin projects you’ve been meaning to do. In the comfort of someone’s home or office, you can gather with friends or team members to work on a variety of skills:

• Basic Blogging for Business: Creating a Blog
• Blogging for Business: Finding, Reading and Commenting on Blogs
• Social Media: Facebook for Business
• Social Media: Twitter
• Social Media: Forums and Communities
• Going Local – Promoting online to your local community
• Social Media for Seniors: Connect with your family online!
• Wine and Websites: An open and fun “night out” workshop to work on any projects you have.

You are also welcome to suggest a topic that you and your friends or team are particularly interested in.

BYOL Parties are best with 5 to 10 people who have their own laptop to bring, or who have made arrangements to share. They are best held in someone’s home with a wi-fi connection that can be shared, or in a workplace office environment or other classroom with an internet connection. The hostess is responsible for making arrangements, inviting their friends, and passing along the BYOL Party Guidelines to their guests. In exchange, the hostess receives her training at a discount or free of charge as well as one chosen take-away product. Hostesses will also be rewarded for any future BYOL parties that are scheduled by their friends.

Attendees for the BYOL Parties will need to register in advance. The fees for a 2 hour BYOL are $300 (can be split among attendees) for up to 10 people and $25 each additional, or $500 for 20 or more. Additional fees are added for travel if outside the 30 mile radius of Rohnert Park, CA.
